Like the video tools, these run ffmpeg in your browser, so recordings stay on your device. That matters more than it sounds: audio files are often interviews, voice notes, lecture recordings or client sessions, and uploading one to a free converter is a decision people make without thinking about it.

Common questions
Which format should I convert to?

Opus is the best quality per byte for speech and general use and is widely supported now. mp3 remains the safest for old hardware. flac and wav are lossless and large, which is what you want while editing but not for distribution.
Does converting between lossy formats lose quality?

Yes. Going from mp3 to aac decodes and re-encodes, so it compounds the loss from both. Convert from the original lossless file where you still have it, and avoid repeated round trips between lossy formats.
What is the difference between white, pink and brown noise?

White noise holds equal power at every frequency and sounds bright and hissy. Pink noise falls off by 3 dB per octave and sounds balanced, which is why it is the usual choice for sleep. Brown noise falls faster still and sounds like a deep rumble.
