Zap.Tools is a focused hub of 125+ online tools for developers, designers, and everyday users. Each one is built to do one thing well, load fast, and finish before you notice.
Why this exists
Most "free online tool" sites are slow, ship your data to a server you can't audit, and gate the useful features behind a login wall. We wanted a different default: every tool client-side where the math allows, no account, no upsell, no paywall.
How it works
- Client-side by default. Image, PDF, video, audio, calculator, and formatter tools run entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your machine.
- Server-side only when unavoidable. A few tools (SEO checkers, schema validators, header inspectors) need to fetch a public URL on your behalf. Those go through a single audited proxy with strict SSRF protection, byte caps, timeouts, and a per-IP rate limit. No request data is logged.
- Analytics, stated plainly. We use Google Analytics. It sets cookies, which is why there is a consent prompt in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland. It measures which pages get opened, and it cannot see what you put into a tool.
- Ads pay for it, and they stay out of your data. The site is funded by Google AdSense, which may set advertising cookies. That is the one place a third party sees anything about your visit, and in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland you are asked before it happens. What you paste into a tool is never part of it. - No accounts. No paywalls. No lock-in. If you can use a tool once for free, you can use it a thousand times for free.
Who builds it
Zap.Tools is built and maintained by Zap.Tools Team. Every tool is hand-crafted, tested, and ships with a use case in mind. Bugs, feature requests, and "I wish this tool existed" notes are all welcome.
